Dapei Zahav selling D&B Israel stake

The buyer is Focus Holdings of New York, which sold the stake to Golden Pages in the first place.

Business information company Dun & Bradstreet Israel is on its way back to its former owners. Sources inform globes that Dapei Zahav Ltd. (Golden Pages), which controls D&B Israel, is at an advanced stage of negotiations to sell its 60% stake to Focus Holdings of New York, which sold it the stake in the first place. Focus Holdings is owned by ex-Israeli Doron Cohen and Gabriel Menaged.

The price of the deal gives D&B Israel a value of $14 million, similar to the valuation at which Focus Holdings sold its stake to Dapei Zahav (then owned by Markstone Capital Group) in May 2007. The current deal is worth some $8.4 million.

D&B Israel started operations in 1961. It specializes in gathering, analyzing, and managing business and marketing information based on a database of hundreds of thousands of Israeli companies. It holds a dominant position in the market, its main rival being BDI Israel, controlled by international credit risk company Coface. D&B Israel is managed by Reuven Kovent.
