Shari Arison's Shikun u'Binui, G4S win NIS 1.8b police deal

The BOT tender includes construction and operation of the Israel Police national training center near Beit Shemesh.

Shikun u'Binui Holdings Ltd. (TASE: SKBN), controlled by Shari Arison, and security solutions firm G4S plc (LSE; OMX: GFS) have won a NIS 1.8 billion tender to build and operate the Israel Police national training center. The two companies set up a consortium, Policity Ltd., which they own in equal shares.

The BOT (build, operate, transfer) tender includes the planning and construction of the center, and its financing, management, operation, maintenance, and provision of training services over a 25-year franchise period. The 60,000-square meter national training center will be built near Beit Shemesh. Construction is scheduled to begin within a year.

G4S Israel Ltd., run by Michal Adiv, provides security and safety solutions. Africa-Israel Investments Ltd. (TASE:AFIL) subsidiaries Africa-Israel Properties Ltd. (TASE: AFPR) and Danya Cebus Ltd. (TASE: DNYA) today notified the TASE that the tender was won by another bidder.
