Orckit win deal in Germany

VSE NET chose Orckit solutions to upgrade its network infrastructure with packet technologies.

Orckit Corrigent (Nasdaq: ORCT; TASE: ORCT) has won a contract from German regional telecommunications service provider VSE NET GmbH. Orckit did not disclose the size of the contract.

VSE NET, which operates in southwest Germany and Luxembourg, chose Orckit's packet transport network solution and 3M Services’ first-line support to upgrade its network infrastructure with packet technologies.

Orckit chairman and president Izhak Tamir said, “Building on our established cooperation with 3M Services is very important for us as we continue to expand globally."

Orckit's share price rose 1.1% in early trading on Nasdaq to $2.83, giving a market cap of $54 million, after rising 5.4% on the TASE to NIS 10.33.
