Housing Ministry launches first land tenders in 2011

Tenders include lots for 878 apartments in Ashkelon, and repeat tenders in Beersheva, Nazareth, and Tiberias.

The Ministry of Housing and Construction today announced its first marketing of land in 2011. The ministry will market lots for the construction of 3,247 homes, mostly in high demand areas. The ministry marketed land for 34,000 homes in 2010, an amount not seen in years.

The Israel Land Administration will market lots for 878 apartments in Ashkelon, 290 apartments in Kfar Saba, lots for 432 apartments in Netzer Sireni, 178 in Bat Yam, 27 in Kafr Kassem, and 26 in Rishon LeZion. Lots for 243 apartments will be marketed in a repeat tender for 100 apartments in Beersheva and lots for 100 apartments in Yeruham.

In the Galilee, the Israel Land Administration will publish repeat tenders for lots for 373 apartments in Tiberias, for 304 apartments in Nazareth, and for 60 apartments in Hatzor Haglilit. Lots for 52 apartments will be marketed in Afula and for 20 apartments in Tiberias.
