Smile CEO Stella Handler announced her resignation two weeks ago to pursue other interests, after serving for many years at the ISP and international calls carrier.
Israel Sports Betting Board CEO Offer Peri will replace Stella Handler as CEO of international calls carrier and Internet services provider (ISP) 012 Smile Telecom Ltd. Handler announced her resignation following the acquisition of Smile by mobile carrier Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR). Partner chairman Ilan Ben-Dov and CEO Jacob Gelbard picked Peri after a short search. Peri will take up his post on April, after a short overlap period with Hendler.
Peri has a strong background in telecommunications; before joining the Sports Betting Board, he was CEO of Bezeqcall before its merger with Bezeq International Ltd. Before that, he was VP marketing at Israel Post, and head of business communications solutions at Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ).
Hendler announced her resignation two weeks ago to pursue other interests, after serving for many years at Smile, rising to the position of CEO.
