As of April 3rd, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) replaced its Tel Tech Index with the TA Blue-Tech 50 Index.
As of April 3rd, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) replaced its Tel Tech Index with the TA Blue-Tech 50 Index. TASE indices now include a Technology Index (which comprises technology shares - excluding biomed), a Biomed Index, and the TA Blue-Tech 50 Index, which comprises the 50 shares from both the Technology and Biomed indices with the largest market capitalizations. As the replacement of the Tel Tech Index, historical performance for the TA Blue-Tech 50 (before April 3rd) reflects the performance of the Tel Tech Index.
"Globes" generally reported performance of the Tel Tech 15 Index, which comprised the 15 companies with the largest market cap on the Tel Tech Index. The Tel Tech 15 Index will no longer be compiled by the TASE.
Companies whose shares are included in the TA Blue-Tech 50 Index include high tech firms NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE), Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR; TASE: ALVR), and Babylon Ltd. (TASE:BBYL), as well as biomed firms Kamada Ltd. (TASE: KMDA), BiolineRX Ltd. (TASE:BLRX), and Pluristem Therapeutics Ltd. (Nasdaq:PSTI; DAX: PJT).
