Low-cost airline easyJet plc (LSE: EZJ) has begun selling flexible tickets via its website to attract more business travelers. The scheme allows consumers to make unlimited date changes within a four-week window, forgo extra charges such as booking fees and bag check-in fees, and get automatic "speedy boarding" when booking through its website.
The flexible tickets option was previously only available to business travelers through specific booking systems.
easyJet CEO Carolyn McCall said, "We have seen a growing trend of business travellers choosing to fly easyJet. By allowing business travelers to book flexible fares on easyJet.com, we will ensure that they are always getting the best available price with the flexibility they need."
easyJet has a daily flight between Tel Aviv and London (Luton), four weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Basel, and three weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Geneva.
The flexible fares start at ₤99.99 pounds ($164). They allow passengers to change the date of their flights up to two hours before departure, let customers check a bag at no extra cost, and give them priority boarding passes.
