The first-ever Bollywood delegation is visiting Israel this week to explore joint ventures and scout location sites. The Bollywood moguls include the heads of some of India’s largest film and television companies.
The visit comes as the Jerusalem International Film Festival is premiering Gangor, a film by producer Vinod Kumar, managing director at of Motion Pictures and Secretary General of the Film Foundation of India.
The nine-member delegation will meet top Israeli directors and producers, including Globus Group Israel Studios chairman Yoram Globus and Globus Group CEO Israel Horowitz. It will also meet Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) partner Uri Adoni and New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television chairman Renen Schorr.
Film Federation of India secretary general Supran Sen said, “I have visited all the important film festivals in the world and have always dreamed of visiting Israel, especially Jerusalem. I am very much fascinated by this visit."
Bollywood's grosses $20.4 billion annually, according PricewaterhouseCoopers.
