Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) has won several contracts in Asia for dozens of observation systems for maritime patrol aircraft, vessels and observation towers. The contracts are worth over $20 million altogether, and the equipment will be delivered over three years.
Elbit Systems Electro-optics Elop Ltd. will deliver various CoMPASS payloads, including also the lightweight electro-optical system Micro CoMPASS and the day and night digital imaging DCoMPASS system for coast guard ships, frigates, marine patrol aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The current contracts follow a $20 million contract in Asia for CoMPASS payloads for maritime patrol aircraft.
Elbit Systems' share price fell 3.6% on Nasdaq yesterday, following the publication of the company's financial report for the second quarter, to $41.79, giving a market cap of $1.76 billion. The share price fell 0.9% in morning trading on the TASE today to NIS 145.10.
