Keter Plastic owner buys NIS 100m penthouse

Sammy Segol is buying the Tel Aviv 1,000 square meter penthouse in Azorim's Nehardea-Beeri project.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that Keter Plastic Ltd. chairman Sammy Segol has bought a penthouse in the Nehardea-Beeri project, which has been on the market for years with an asking price of NIS 100 million. The project was built by The Hershey Friedman Group.

Sammy and Tova Segol bought the 1,000-square meter penthouse on the project's top floor - the 31st. The new chairman of Azorim Investment, Development and Construction Ltd. (TASE: AZRM), Hershey Friedman, originally planned to use the penthouse for himself, but he continues to reside in Montreal.

Segol paid NIS 100,000 per square meter for the penthouse in north Tel Aviv For the sake of comparison, Eyal Ofer paid an estimated NIS 115,000 per square meter for his apartment in the Herbert Samuel project on Tel Aviv's shorefront. Segol's neighbors include high-tech businesswoman Dalia Preshker, the sister of Gazit-Globe Ltd. (TASE: GLOB) chairman Chaim Katzman; Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) and First International Bank of Israel (TASE: FTIN) controlling shareholder Zadik Bino; Castro Model Ltd. (TASE: CAST) chairman Gabriel Roter; bookseller Steimatzy Group chairman Ari Steimatzky; former Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman; architect Moshe Zur; and Nochi Dankner's son, Omer Dankner, who bought a three-room apartment for NIS 5.52 million, and his sister Rona Dankner.
