Saturday, September 17 is Antibank Day, a day of international protests at financial centers across the US, Canada, Europe, and in Tel Aviv.
Antibanks calls for "global actions against banks and banksters". Actions include occupying Wall Street. Livestream.com will provide live coverage of the events. The Tel Aviv demonstration will take place in front of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) on Ahad Ha'am Street - one street over from the tent protest on Rothschild Boulevard.
The Israeli organizers state, "At 8 pm, Saturday, September 17, we will convene at the corner of Rothschild Boulevard and Shadal Street, next to the TASE, to hear the voice of the people against the unreasonable profits of the banks and concentration of banking in Israel. We will cry out in an organized, cultured, and nonviolent way. Bring placards, drums, flowers, and a revolutionary drive."
339 people have signed onto the Israeli protest page so far.
