Alcatel Lucent Israel names new CEO

Current CEO Yair Pecht is leaving the company after four years to run a start-up.

Alcatel Lucent Israel CEO Yair Pecht is leaving the company after four years to run a start-up. He will be replaced by Haim Teichholtz, CEO of Mobilitech Ltd., an Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE; Euronext: ALU) subsidiary, which develops platforms for managing mobile content. Pecht will stay on Alcatel Lucent Israel's board and adise Teichholtz over the coming year.

Pecht put Alcatel Lucent Israel back on the Israeli telecommunications equipment map, following the company's severe crisis. During his term, the company won several contracts from Israeli carriers, including Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) and its mobile subsidiary Pelephone Communications Ltd., HOT Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT), Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL), and Orange franchisee Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR).
