The Kibbutz College will build new premises on part of the campus grounds.
Sources inform ''Globes'' that the Kibbutz College of Education Technology and the Arts has deposited with the Tel Aviv Regional Planning and Building Commission a plan for 450 apartments in three 35-storey high-rises on its campus on Namir Road in Tel Aviv. The college's current premises will be demolished and premises will be built on the campus for its own use.
Phoeniclass Ltd. and America-Israel Ltd., controlled by Pinchas Cohen and Shimshon Harel, are the project's developers. 80% of the apartments will be four and five rooms and 20% will be small apartments of 80 square meters each. The new campus building will have 25,000 square meters of space on buildings of up to 12 floors each, occupying no more than 12 dunam (3 acres) of the campus grounds. The project also includes 7,000 square meters in public buildings for the residents' use.
The plan includes traffic changes at the Namir Road-Rokach Street, so that the entrance to campus will be directly from Namir Road, rather than through residential neighborhoods as it is at present.
