Steinitz: Raise women's retirement to 64, not 67

Naamat president Talia Livni told "Globes": The retirement age will not be raised.

Minister of Finance Yuval Steinitz has decided to raise women's retirement age to 64, rather than 67, as recommended by a committee. He will also submit to the cabinet a bill to raise men's retirement age to 67.

A source at the Ministry of Finance said that Steinitz is determined to pass the measure, but that he does not want to take the heat for it by doing it alone. He wants the cabinet to make the decision.
