Dutch tourist agency launches Amsterdam-Uvda route

Holiday Travel expects 8,000 Dutch tourists to use the charter service during the 2011-12 winter tourist season

Dutch tourist agency Holiday Travel this week inaugurated a charter route between Schiphol Airport Amsterdam and Uvda Airport in the Negev, operated by Dutch airline Arkefly. Holiday Travel is a joint venture owned in equal shares by chairman Moni Bar and TUI Israel Ltd., which is owned in equal shares by TUI AG (DAX: TUI) and Budget Rent a Car Israel Ltd.

Holiday Travel is planning to make 48 round-trip flights during the 2011-12 winter tourist season. Arkefly will operate Airbus 320 planes with a seating capacity of 180.

Bar expects 8,000 Dutch tourists to use the charter service during the 2011-12 winter tourist season. A seven-day tourist package will cost €700, including flight, hotel, and ground services, and many tourists also order packages to Jerusalem, Nazareth, the Dead Sea, Petra in Jordan, and elsewhere.
