Ampal in talks to sell Gadot Chemical Tankers stake

Ampal is in talks with an undisclosed international investor.

Ampal-American Israel Corporation (Nasdaq: AMPL; TASE:AMPL), controlled by chairman Yosef Maiman, today confirmed media reports that it is in talks to sell part of its stake in wholly-owned subsidiary Gadot Chemical Tankers and Terminals Ltd. to an international investor, whose identity was not disclosed.

Gadot Chemicals manufactures and sells chemicals, polymers, crop protection products, and PCBs.

Ampal's share price rose 3.9% by midday on the TASE today to NIS 0.48, after rising 0.1% on Nasdaq yesterday to $0.12, giving a market cap of $7million.
