Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR; TASE: ALVR) will supply Muscatine Power & Water, a non-profit utility in Muscatine, Iowa, with broadband equipment to connect communications customers. The company did not disclose the size of the deal. Muscatine Power & Water has been an Alvarion customer since 2001.
Muscatine Power & Water chief technician Tom Lewis said, “Many of our customers live in difficult-to-reach areas when it comes to delivering broadband data, voice, and, video access. Families and businesses need these critical services and Alvarion is providing the solution to help us bridge the digital divide and keep our community online and connected."
