Mobile app testing co Perfecto Mobile raises $15m

Globespan led the round, joined by Carmel Ventures, Vertex, and the Waisbein Fund.

Cloud-based mobile app testing developer Perfecto Mobile Inc. has raised $15 million in its third financing round. Globespan Capital Partners led the round, and was joined by Carmel Ventures, Vertex Venture Capital and the Waisbein Fund. The company will use the proceeds to finance its business growth and develop its products. Perfecto Mobile, which was founded in 2006 by CEO Eran Yariv and Yoram Mizrahi and Jacky Allal, has raised $36 million to date including the latest financing round. Vodafone plc is a strategic investor.

Headquartered in Boston, with its development center in Petah Tikva, Perfecto Mobile develops cloud-based testing, automation and monitoring solutions for mobile apps and websites. The company says it has doubled its revenue in recent years, and that it now has over 600 customers, which use its cloud-based systems to develop mobile apps better and faster to make them more reliable.

Perfecto Mobile CEO Eran Yaniv said, “This infusion of capital is perfectly timed as it will allow us to capture this rapidly evolving market opportunity. Currently, our MobileCloud platform serves as an enterprise-wide strategic resource for global testing, development, and support for product teams to collaborate and work on thousands of smartphones and tablets in real time, all via the cloud. This funding will fuel the required innovation to complete our vision of creating an end-to-end, cloud based, enterprise-ready solution."
