Cleaning and toiletries products maker Sano-Bruno Enterprises Ltd. (TASE: SANO1) is raising prices by an average of 5%. The price hike will include detergents, hygiene products, cleaning materials, and other products sold under the Sano, Careline, Creme, and other labels.
Sano president Alexander Landesberg told "Globes" that the price hike was due to the erosion in Sano's sale prices to retailers, which forced it to update its price list. He added that another factor was higher input prices. He was apparently referring to various charges the company has received from retailers.
Landsberg said, "There is no category in which the company's products are sold for less than their peers."
Until now, Sano has not been part of the price hike bandwagon by food companies in the past few years.
