Foreign currency reserves dip

Israel’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $75.672 billion at the end of November 2012.

Israel’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $75.672 billion at the end of November 2012, down $224 million from their level at the end of October, the Bank of Israel reported. The reserves fell by $330 million in September.

The decrease in November was despite a revaluation that raised the reserves by $64 million. However government transfers abroad of $264 million and a decrease of $24 million derived from private sector transactions brought about the slight fall.

Israel's foreign exchange reserves have moved away from the all-time record of $78.078 billion in August 2011.
