Swiss family buys Herzliya vacation apartment for NIS 11.6m

Ritz Carlton Israel has sold several vacation apartments in the past month for NIS 25 million.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that a Swiss family has bought a vacation apartment in Herzliya's seafront Ritz Carlton hotel for NIS 11.6 million. The 110-square meter penthouse on the 12th floor has a 41-square meter balcony. The price of NIS 90,000 per square meter, making it one of the highest prices ever paid for a vacation apartment in Israel.

Ritz Carlton Israel Ltd. says that it sold several apartments in the past month for NIS 25 million. A 105-square meter three-room 11th floor apartment was sold to a US businessman for NIS 7.5 million, and a 99-square meter two-room apartment with a 21-square meter balcony was sold to a Venezuelan businessman for NIS 5.3 million.

Tidhar Ltd. and Adis Investments Ltd., owned by Adi and Irit Strauss, are building the project. Buyers can reside in the vacation apartments for up to 180 days a year, and when not used by the buyers, Ritz Carlton Israel maintains, operates, and leases the apartments. The lower six floors of the hotel have 115 rooms, and six upper floors have 82 vacation apartments, of 50-180 square meters each. Construction is due to be completed in mid-2013.
