Tommy Hilfiger Israel up for sale

Franchisee Haim Sakal is asking NIS 40 million.

Tommy Hilfiger Israel is up for sale. Sources inform ''Globes'' that franchisee Haim Sakal has, over the past few weeks, approached several parties with an offer to sell the franchise for NIS 40 million. Tommy Hilfiger, founded in 1984 by fashion designer Thomas Jacob Hilfiger, opened shop in Israel in 2001.

Sakal operates eight Tommy Hilfiger stores, including the flagship store at Tel Aviv's Ramat Aviv Mall. Other stores are located in Herzliya's Arena Mall, Jerusalem' Mamilla Mall, and in Rishon LeZion, Hod Hasharon, Beersheva, and two stores in Eilat.

Tommy Hilfiger Israel revenue was NIS 83.5 million (not including VAT) in 2012, including NIS 37.5 million in retail sales and NIS 46 million in wholesale sales.
