A late Marc Chagall work from 1981, "Bouquet in a Green Vase", was sold for $314,500 at an auction by Matsart at the Tel Aviv Hilton yesterday. A 1959 work by Mané Katz, "Four Musicians", was sold for $206,500, and an untitled work from 1982 by Yaacov Agam was sold for $170,000.

Altogether, the auction's sales totaled NIS 3 million. The auction in Tel Aviv was held simultaneously in New York and Paris. Over half the works auctioned were sold.

Matsart executive director Uri Rosenbach said that the collaboration between the sales points and the auction house's sophisticated technology made it possible to hold simultaneous auctions at different locations around the world, creating a breakthrough in the auctions industry.
