Science and math equation search engine developer Symbolab has closed a seed financing round of $1.2 million. The round was funded by angels, including former Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) CEO Michael Queen and other UK angels.

Symbolab was founded in October of 2011 by CEO Michal Avny, chief scientist Adam Arnon, and CTO Lev Alyshayev. The company has six employees and is based at Tel Aviv University.
