Melisron to open Prima business hotel in Ra'anana

The business hotel, due to open in late 2014, will have 140 rooms, meeting rooms, and a conventions hall.

Ofer Investments Ltd. unit Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) and Prima Hotels Ltd. will open the first business hotel in Ra'anana. Melisron bought the rights to the hotel when it bought a property in the city's northern business district from the owners of the Holmes Place fitness chain several years ago. The building has eight office floors above a commercial ground floor and parking garage, and has building rights for ten more floors, zoned for hotel use.

The business hotel, due to open in late 2014, will have 140 rooms, meeting rooms, and a conventions hall. Prima Hotels will operate the hotel under a lease from Melisron. Construction will cost an estimated NIS 100 million.

The hotel will be close to the offices of companies such as Comverse Inc. (Nasdaq: CNSI), NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE), Retalix, SAP Israel Ltd., and Starhome BV

Melisron chairwoman Leora Ofer said, "Opening a business hotel in Ra'anana is an important step for the continued development of Melisron's business." She added, "Building the first hotel in Ra'anana, where leading high-tech companies are located, is the entry into the hotel business in the heart of industrial parks where we have identified huge potential, for a clientele which has not had a solution until now."

Prima Hotels operates ten hotels in Israel. CEO Avi Dor said, "The opening of the hotel in Ra'anana is part of the chain's expansion, after the recent acquisition of the Park Hotel in Jerusalem and the City Hotel in Tel Aviv."
