James Richardson Ltd. today won the Israel Airports Authority tender for the operation of duty-free shops at Ben Gurion Airport. Sources inform ''Globes'' that the company won the tender with a bid of $160 million a year (NIS 576 million), amounting to NIS 4 billion over the seven-year franchise period.
The money will be paid as rent for the shops at the airport, and reflect the especially high proceeds by duty-free shops.
