Kiryat Shmona to get new NIS 60m hotel

The hotel will be connected to the Nehemia Mall, which will be upgraded.

Kiryat Shmona's Nehemia Mall, owned by Bnei Nehemia Initiation, Investment and Development Ltd., will undergo a major facelift, including an upgrade and renovation, at an investment of NIS 7 million. In addition, a new hotel will be built that will be directly connected to the mall. The 115-room, five-floor hotel will cost NIS 60 million to build. The company is in talks with a leading international hotel chain to manage it.

The 15,000-square meter Nehemia Mall, which has four commercial floors, opened in 1995. It is the first mall built in Kiryat Shmona, and has 30 shops and 500 parking spaces.

The mall's management has hired Retail In Ltd. as its new strategic partner to handle its marketing. Retail In has begun creating a tenants and marketing mix for the mall, and will bring in Super-Pharm, Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE), Castro Model Ltd. (TASE: CAST), and bookstore chain Steimatzky. The mall will also have bowling, billiards, and a fitness center.
