3 Herzog partners desert to rival Meitar law firm

Advs. Eldar Ben-Ruby; Alon Sahar, and Haim Gueta have switched from Herzog Fox & Neeman to Meitar Liquornik Geva & Leshem Tal.

Three senior partners at Herzog Fox & Neeman, Israel's second largest law firm, have moved to the country's third largest firm - Meitar Liquornik Geva & Leshem Tal. Adv. Eldar Ben-Ruby, the firm's senior tax partner, Adv. Alon Sahar the firm's senior high tech partner, and Adv. Haim Gueta from the corporate department took several salaried attorneys with them.

Although no contracts have yet been signed, the attorneys' negotiations with Meitar Liquornik are in the final stage. Sources say that the departing lawyers approached Meitar Liquornik.

Herzog Fox & Neeman said in response, "The transfer of employees or partners between firms exists in every area of business. This is a natural and normal process, which has no effect on a leading firm like Herzog Fox & Neeman."

Meitar Liquornik Geva & Leshem Tal declined to comment.
