Orna Kleinman is succeeding Mickey Steiner, who is leaving after nine years.
Sources inform ''Globes'' that Orna Kleinman (40) has been appointed as managing director of SAP Labs Israel, succeeding Mickey Steiner, who is leaving after nine years. Kleinman will take up the post in November.
SAP AG (NYSE; DAX: SAP) has 750 employees in Israel, 700 of whom work in R&D, making SAP Labs Israel one of the country's prominent foreign development centers. The rest of the employees work for SAP Israel Ltd, which handles the German company's local sales.
SAP acquired TopTier Software, founded by Shay Agassi, for $400 million in 2001, and which became the cornerstone of SAP Labs Israel. Most of Israeli operations are still based on the platform, Portfolio Portal, that Agassi sold SAP 12 years ago. The platform is one of SAP's leading products. Kleinman was responsible for global development of the latest version of TopTier's products.
