Three make shortlist for TASE CEO

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange board is due to vote on a new CEO next Thursday.

The search committee charged with finding a CEO for the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) has drawn up a shortlist of three candidates for the TASE board to vote upon. Sources inform "Globes" that the three are Yacov Rozen, who was CEO of Menora Mivtahim and deputy CEO of Bank Hapoalim, Dan Laluz, formerly chairman of Migdal Capital Markets, and Yossi Beinart, CEO and president of the Nadex derivatives exchange in Chicago. The board will choose the TASE CEO next Thursday, in what is expected to be a secret vote.

The shortlisted candidates represent different interests. Rozen is supported by Bank Hapoalim, which is the only bank with a representative on the search committee. Laluz is thought to be favored by Bank Leumi, while Beinart is identified with Israel Securities Authority chairman Prof. Shmuel Hauser, who pressed for the ousters of Ester Levanon as CEO of the TASE and of Sam Bronfeld as chairman.
