The cable company has raised the price of VOD from NIS 25 per month to NIS 29.90.
Hot Telecommunication Systems Ltd. (TASE: HOT.B1) has again raised VOD prices, this time by 20% from NIS 25 per month to NIS 29.90. Hot says that the new price reflects the transfer of extensive VOD content to free services. The price hike will boost the cable television company's revenue by NIS 3 million, assuming a customer base of 600,000 subscribers.
Hot also announced that it is raising prices by 3%, or NIS 2-3, because of the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Hot says that, in the past year, it has transferred most popular and quality television series from VOD to free services, and that the trend is to reduce for-pay content by as much as possible.
