The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.36% to 1,544.86 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.37% to 1,406.26 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.43% to 377.49 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.03% to 347.07 points. Trading turnover was NIS 905.2 million.
On the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative rate up 0.248% at NIS 3.643/$ from Friday's rate and set the shekel-euro rate up 0.095% at 4.121/€.
On the market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 2.56% on the day's biggest trading turnover. Fattal Holdings (1998) Ltd. (TASE:FTAL) rose 2.57% for the biggest rise on the Tel Aviv 35 Index. Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 0.83%, Oil Refineries Ltd. (TASE:ORL) rose 1.02% and Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) rose 0.81%. Outside the Tel Aviv 35 Index, Camtek Ltd. (Nasdaq: CAMT; TASE:CAMT) rose 9.91% on the news that Taiwanese company had acquired a 20.5% stake at a 29% premium.
Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 2.71% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index and Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 2.41%. Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) fell 0.61%.
