The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 0.53%, to 1,569.92 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index also fell 0.53%, to 1,428.72 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 0.57%, to 377.99 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index fell 0.07%, to 349.51 points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.81 billion in equities and NIS 4.62 billion in bonds.
For the week, the Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.9%. The index is up 7.2% for the year to date.
On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was flat, at NIS 3.6170/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.07% higher, at NIS 4.1057/€.
Bank Leumi led trading today, and fell 0.50%. Bank Hapoalim rose 0.12%; Israel Chemicals rose 0.15%; Discount Bank fell 0.76%; and Nice Systems fell 0.10%. The telecommunications sector was particularly weak today: B Communications fell 4.32%; Partner fell 3.63%; and Cellcom fell 3.51%.
