Mon: Chip cos drag TASE down

Tower, Nova and Camtek all fell sharply today.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange fell today. The Tel Aviv 35 Index fell 1.09% to 4,126.55 points, the Tel Aviv 125 Index also fell 1.09% to 4,014.95 points; and the BlueTech Global Index fell 1.57% to 618.64 points. The TelBond 60 corporate bond index fell 0.01% to 428.59 points. Turnover totaled NIS 2.85 billion in equities and NIS 3.30 billion in bonds.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.1% higher from Friday, at NIS 2.994/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.251% lower, at NIS 3.493/€.

On the market, the Technology Index fell 3.40% and the Real Estate Index fell 1.38%.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: TSEM; TASE:TSEM) led the market today, falling 5.28% on the day’s biggest trading turnover. Nova Ltd. (Nasdaq:NVMI; TASE:NVMI fell 8.07% for the biggest fall on the Tel Aviv 35 Index today and Camtek (Nasdaq: CAMT; TASE: CAMT) fell 7.82%. Next Vision (TASE: NXSN) fell 2.07% and Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT) fell 1.82%.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.64% and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE: TASE) rose 3.48%. Delek Group (TASE: DELKG) rose 1.95% and ICL (TASE: ICL: NYSE: ICL) rose 2.84%.
