Jerusalem Police have confirmed that the explosion was caused by a bomb.
16 people were injured, two of them seriously when an Egged bud exploded this evening at Jerusalem's Pat junction. Jerusalem Police have confirmed that the explosion was caused by a bomb, after there were initially suspicions that the incident might have been the result of a technical fault.
Witnesses say that an empty bus caught fire with the flames spreading to two nearby buses and several cars, which all burnt out.
The injured were taken by ambulance to Hadassah Ein Kerem and Shaarei Zedek hospitals.
