"This does not mean Koor does not monopolize the field, but that at this stage, it will not be declared a monopoly", said Restraint of Trade Commissioner David Tadmor.
Restraint of Trade Commissioner Dr. David Tadmor this week announced his decision that he will not declare Koor a monopoly in the field of public and private switches. Tadiran Telecommunications and Telrad are both Koor subsidiaries.
Tadmor said he does not yet accept Koor’s position on the matter; in other words, his decision not to declare Koor a monopoly at this stage should not be taken to mean he is convinced Koor is not a monopoly.
In addition, Tadmor’s decision does not mean the matter will not be reexamined in the future.
However, in making his decision Tadmor did take into account Koor’s contention that real competition existed between the two companies.
