The company is considering two possible marketing channels: sale as an off-the-shelf program for graphic designers who develop Internet sites, or transfer of the technology to third party companies (OEM).
Applicom has come out with software for developing Internet applications using the Java language which requires no programming knowledge. The new product, RADJA, is intended to enable any Internet user to make his WWW site interactive.
The company reported that the product was originally developed to help graphic designers to develop Internet sites without the aid of a professional programmer. It is now also being offered to programmers as an aid to shorten development time of Java based applications.
It was disclosed that the product was developed in Applicom’s software ideas development incubator.
Applicom joint General Manager Eliezer Oren said that the company is examining two possible ways of marketing the new product. One possible channel would be via the development of an off-the-shelf program for sale to graphic designers and private individuals. The other would be via sale of the technology to various companies around the world, which would sell products in which RADJA would be integrated on an OEM basis.
