The government of Argentina has ordered complete access to the central bank’s archives, in order to determine if Nazi gold and money was deposited during the Second World War, according to Argentina’s Interior Minister today.
By request of the Jewish organizations, President Carlos Menem has ordered the archives open and a list of 334 names submitted by those same organizations examined, the minister said. In the past it has been reported that both Adolf Hitler’s name, and that of his mistress Eva Braun, appear on the list.
