Average Israeli Marcom Manager Earned NIS 9,000 in 1996

The Association for Marketing Communications in Israel held its first meeting of 1997 on Sunday morning in Tel Aviv, with the participation of Marcom (marketing communications) managers.

At the meeting, the group conducted the second of their two annual confidential salary surveys. The average gross salary for a Marcom manager in Israel in 1996 was NIS 9,000, not including benefits such as company car, stock options, etc. Furthermore, the survey revealed that the average amount of experience for a Marcom manager was 4.0 years.

The 1995/1996 Compensation Report, compiled by the Belgium-based Watson Wyatt DataServices Europe concluded that the average annual base salary for a Marcom manager in Israel was NIS 109,351. According to Watson-Wyatt, the average number of years in the position was six.

The organization was established in 1993. Members work primarily for high-tech companies active in computer software, hardware, tele and data communications, as well as satellite and medical equipment manufacturers.

The organization was founded to provide a forum for Marcom (marketing communications) managers to share information on mutual areas of interest as well as to benefit from the accumulated knowledge of its members.
