"The company sees Israel as a technological target market"
Baan is stepping up activity in Israel, and plans to establish an independent marketing channel. This week, the company inaugurates Baan House in Kfar Sava as the premises for the local company, which will engage in marketing and distribution. The same building will house BAIN (BA Intelligence Networks), in which the Dutch company is a majority shareholder. Baan has 60 branches around the world, but has so far operated in Israel via Applicom.
With the arrival in Israel of SAP, its main competitor, and Oracle’s preparations for marketing logistical systems here, Baan too aspires to deepen its involvement in the Israeli market. "The company sees the Israeli market as a technological target market", explained BAIN general manager Moshe Ha’elyon.
