The following people have exemptions from foreign currency regulations: temporary residents, returning residents (after at least seven years overseas), and Israelis permanently living overseas.
Bank Hapoalim today announced a special offer during the summer and High Holidays season to foreign residents and those exempt from foreign currency regulations.
The bank will award an interest rate 0.25% higher than the bank’s prevailing interest rate in any currency, for periods ranging between one month and one year. The bank will also give a 0.25% discount on mortgage rates.
Foreign residents and those exempt from foreign currency regulations will also benefit from exemptions from bank fees on foreign currency deposits for a month and beyond; refunds on bank fees on transfers from other banks in Israel; exemptions on foreign exchange fees; and benefits in mutual funds.
