Netanyahu confirms: Mossad agents killed whilst tailing Manbar.
Ministry of Defense press advisor Avi Benayahu announced today that Nahum Manbar transferred false information to Israel regarding Ron Arad.
Benayahu’s statement said that following incorrect reports in the "Sunday Times", he wished to clarify the facts. According to Benayahu, Manbar passed on various offers to the intelligence communities to allegedly bring information and signs of life on captured navigator Ron Arad, since Iran is apparently responsible for his captivity.
Benayahu claims that all Manbar’s offers were examined meticulously and were discovered to be absolute unfounded falsehoods. Security sources determine, added Benayahu, that Manbar did not help to advance the Ron Arad issue, and even caused serious damage in that he caused an unnecessary expectation gap, which was not supported by the facts. For example, he delivered a fraudulent tape, which was clearly a forgery.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today the report in today’s "Sunday Times" which states that two Mossad agents were killed while following Manbar. Netanyahu did not go into further detail. He remarked that former Prime Ministers Yitzhak Rabin and Shimon Peres operated suitably in the Manbar affair, and he has no complaints against them.
