Delta-3 of Israel Signs Agreement With World’s Number 3 Internet Provider

Delta-3 will supply telephony services to NiftyServe of Japan.

Delta-3, an Internet telephony services company, reported yesterday (Tuesday) that it had signed an agreement with the third largest Internet service provider in the world, the Japanese company NiftyServe, which has 2.5 million customers in Japan.

The agreement will enable Nifty customers to make telephone-to-telephone or computer-to-telephone calls via the Internet using Delta-3’s technology. From the point of view of Delta-3, and its parent company RSL Communications (controlled by Ronald Lauder), the agreement represents a breakthrough, and tuns Delta-3 into one of the world’s main players in the Internet telephony field.

Delta-3 is an Israeli company established in 1996. Today, it has an infrastructure that can transmit and route millions of call minutes on the Internet. Last month, RSL completed the purchase of 95% of its shares. RSL is an international communications company traded on Wall Street.
