The currency basket rate is down to NIS 3.5478. The
private sector injected supplies of tens of millions of
dollars.
The dollar exchange rate was down today (Thursday) to
a low of NIS 3.143, following an 0.32% revaluation of
the shekel. As against the currency basket, there was a
revaluation of 0.43%, and the basket exchange rate
dropped to NIS 3.578.
The revaluation resulted from heavy supply injected by
the private sector in a volume of tens of millions of
dollars. Within a week, the dollar exchange rate has
slid 1%, reverting to its rate as of the beginning of the
year.
The currency basket is now 6.31% below the mid-rate,
its lowest-ever level.
