Many industrial plants recently leased buildings in moshavim
(cooperative settlements) located near big cities. Factory warehouses,
display rooms and even production lines are being moved from the cities
to the moshavim. Moshav members construct new buildings especially for
the factories. Factories save large sums of money on property taxes and
leasing fees, which are much lower in moshavim.
Tolmans furniture company, in one of the most significant deals
signed recently, moved part of its activity from Herzliya Pituah to a
moshav near Ra'annana. The company leased 1,500 square meters, paying
four dollars per square meter a month
