Both the Hamas and the Palestinian Authority allege that the guerrillas arrived from outside the region.
The General Security Service (GSS) believes that it successfully identified one of the Mahane Yehuda suicide bombers as a resident of the Nablus District. Identification has not been finalized since the family of the alleged bomber is refusing to submit blood samples necessary for certain identification. It is also believed that the second guerrilla arrived from the village of Tzurif, according to an "Itim" news item reporting GSS assessments.
"Itim" also reported that in the past weeks the GSS has spared no effort to locate the origins of the suicide bombers.
