Menorah will not join the plea bargain in the cartel affair; an indictment is expected against Aaron Kalman.
The Board of Directors of the Menorah insurance company today (Monday) decided to appoint Director Gedalya Doron to Active General Manager of the company. Doron will replace the late Shabtai Engel, who passed away last week.
Menorah heads decided after prolonged deliberations not to join the plea bargain, in connection with the insurance cartel affair. They are anticipating an indictment against the company and against Deputy General Manager Aaron Kalman.
Company heads estimate that Superintendent of Insurance Doron Shorer might not, under these circumstances, approve Kalman’s appointment as General Manager of the company, or might delay the appointment. Thus they decided to appoint Doron for the present, in order to avoid any disruption to the continuity of the company’s management.
