Advanced negotiations are in progress with an Israeli start-up.
"We’re hungry for acquisitions," senior Genesys International managers who visited Israel last week told "Globes". Genesys develops Call Centers management software, and is considered a leader in the field.
"Israel is an excellent place for start-ups, and we met several very interesting companies," said Genesys regional manager Alex Owens. He said that, on previous visits, the company’s representatives met several Israeli companies developing software in its area of business. According to him, negotiations with one of the companies are in high gear, and its representatives have held meetings with senior Genesys executives in Silicon Valley.
Genesys was founded in 1990 by two Jewish emigrants from the Soviet Union in Silicon Valley. The company develops and markets CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) software, including an applications package that performs routing, reporting., external dialing, and video and Internet integration. The company was crowned world number one CTI vendor by consultants Frost & Sullivan.
