Towards morning, Katyusha rockets and mortar shells were fired on IDF and SLA positions in South Lebanon security zone. This was reported by Lebanese defence sources, which noted that there were no casualties.

11 Katyusha rockets were fired in two volleys at a half hourly interval, aiming at an IDF position near Balat and at SLA positions in the security zone.

It was reported that mortar fire was aimed toward dawn at an IDF patrol, moving along the western sector of the security zone, but no one was hurt.

In a communique released in Beirut, Hezbollah took responsibility for the attacks, which it alleged came in response to IDF shooting in which two Lebanese civilians were killed.

The IDF Northern command states that Hezbollah continues to breach the Grapes of Wrath understandings in spite of the restraint being shown by Israel.
