Assessments are that Udi Recanati rejected an offer to head Super-Sol because of his heavy workload, preferring to appoint Lev in his stead.
Dalia Lev, co general manager of IDB, will be appointed chairman of Super-Sol’s board of directors. Lev will replace Leon Recanati who served for over eight years and is leaving to become chairman of Clal’s board of directors.
Lev’s appointment was made after Udi Recanati, the other co-joint manager of IDB, was appointed chairman of Discount Investments’ board of directors, thereby involving himself in the international affairs of the Recanati family, including overseas banking and shipping.
